I've spent the past two months thinking about, struggling
with, and working on bringing this issue together. It's been
tough but the process has been fun and I've enjoyed trying
to bring PhatBelt.com online. It's pretty easy to throw a
site together, the Internet is filled with examples that lack
thought, substance or give any consideration for the way people
interact and navigate. PhatBelt.com is a work in progress
but I would like to make it a place that's enjoyable to visit,
easy to navigate and includes great content. I have four more
issues this year which I'm excited to work on and bring to
the viewing public. I have to say that I'm not sure where
PhatBelt.com is headed but I would like for the site to flourish
and grow. I know it's going to be challenging and I look forward
to the journey. In the coming months you can look forward
to a variety of features such as my photo adventures (see
Walking Manhattan in this issue), the
Skinny which is a how to and will be
in each issue, Phation (I'm trying
to be hip and edgy for the kids) which will have some of my
favorite personal work; you will also see a mix of work from
fine art, artistic portraiture, nature, to street photography
and humor. In the next issue my Go-go section which will feature
places to visit and I'll try to add more features along the
way. Well, that pretty much covers it. I would enjoy hearing
from you so if you have suggestions, comments, or would like
to see something added please let me know. Depending on the
response, I may open the site for others (professional and
amateur) to post and share ideas, show art/photography, publish
short stories, or talk about what's happening in San Diego
                    or the world.
                  Thank you for visiting!
